This semester, the Year 5 students will be learning about Western Australian history and economics in Perth. They will be creating a brochure which highlights some of the attractions of Perth and how these are promoting the economy in the city.
To deepen their knowledge, the students will be going on an excursion along the Swan River and touring both the WACA ground and Optus Stadium. It is an opportunity to learn more about the significance of these buildings and broaden their understanding of Western Australia’s past and present.
All Year 5 students will need to be at Balmoral Campus by 8.30am in order to leave the campus by bus at 9.00am. They will return to the Balmoral Campus by 3.00pm. All students are required to wear their sport uniform, and bring a packed recess, lunch and drink bottle in a backpack.
We require two parent helpers per class to assist with the excursion. If you are available, please email your child’s class teacher by Friday 18 October.
The general permission note you signed at the beginning of the school year covers travel for this excursion. If you do not want your child to participate in this excursion please speak to your child’s class teacher.
